ClientSherpa is client-friendly legal intake software for attorneys. Smith.ai now integrates with ClientSherpa, which means our receptionists can complete intake over the phone on behalf of new clients using your ClientSherpa intake forms. We can also schedule consultation appointments for you and other attorneys at your firm, because ClientSherpa integrates directly to your calendar. If you already thought intake was easy with ClientSherpa, just wait until it's even more streamlined with our receptionists.
Below, we explain how the integration works and the three easy steps required for setup.
ClientSherpa allows you to create custom intake forms and embed them on your website, or share them privately with your clients and/or receptionist service.
If you're using Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists to answer and return your calls, you can now hand off yet another routine task to us. Just share the links to your intake forms and provide directions for proper use, and we'll complete the form over the phone with your new clients.
Since ClientSherpa integrates with your calendar, we can also schedule the initial consultation appointment with the client. Before one of our receptionists begins the intake form, they'll follow the prompts to book a consultation based on your availability.
Extra feature: One of the lesser-known options in ClientSherpa is attorney-specific intake. For example, you can share an attorney-specific intake form URL with our receptionists and tell us, "Only assign divorces in California to attorney Jane Jones." In this case, the URL you would share with us would be something like "https://clientsherpa.com/matter_types/family-law/jane-jones" rather than the standard "https://clientsherpa.com/matter_types/family-law/". To activate this feature in your account, please contact ClientSherpa to ensure the URLs work as intended, and then share them with our receptionists as described below.
If you're already a ClientSherpa user, getting started is easy — just follow these three steps:
1. Log in to your ClientSherpa account, and click on "Matter Types" from the main menu.
2. Locate the Matter Type(s) that you want your receptionists to use when completing client intake for you, and click "Copy Public URL."
3. Paste this URL into an email to Smith.ai Support at email@example.com with the subject line, "ClientSherpa Intake Integration." Add any other intake URLs to this same email.
Also, be sure to include directions for completing intake using each specific intake form you provide, including how to identify and qualify new leads as good potential clients for your firm. (Meaning, Smith.ai's receptionists can ask qualifying questions before completing intake so only those clients who "pass" those initial questions will move on to the "intake" stage.) Also, indicate any preferences for scheduling consultations. For example, you may prefer that your receptionists only schedule new consultations on Thursday and Friday mornings.
That's it! We'll let you know as soon as the integration setup is complete, typically within 1 business day. Once your accounts are linked, you'll see newly completed intake forms in your ClientSherpa account, and new consultations added to your calendar.
